If it is concluded that collision is likely to take place, anti-collision maneuvering will be effectuated automatically by the system with respect te the various conditions. When there is no more danger of collision, the original course will be self-restored. And when target ship has passed own ship safely, tracking is released.If the danger of collision still exists when target ship gets into the 3n. m. ring, alarm will be given at once.

In this paper the discussions are centered on the concept of unchanging relative course line of the target ship when own ship turns in case the target ship keeps its course and speed, and on the rule of changing the relative course of the target ship after own ship turns. The "Iine" is used to estimate the appropriate course alteration, and thus, an effective method for multi - ship collision avoidance is introduced.

A controlled LMQ-Ⅲ Radar moving target simulator with chart simulation is developed, which can simulate not only up to 32 targets with varied range,bearing,speed and course,but also the radar chard of the area required. The parameters of our ship and the target ship can be displayed simultaneously. The radar simulator thus developed accords with the requirments of no-land training and scientific research on marine radar and ARPA units.
