Calf epidemic diarrhea ( CED ) is a commonly encountered calf disease with higher mortality, the main cause of death is dehydration and acidosis. Therefore, prevention and treatment of dehydration are the key in lowering the mortality of CED. This paper reports ORS treatment of calf dehydration caused by acute viral diarrhea. The ORS preparation contains Na+ 90 mEq/L, K+ 20 mEq/L, HCO3- 30 mEq/L, Cl- 80 mEq/ L and glucose 111 mM/L. It was given in doses of 50~80 ml/kg, body weight/day for mild dehydration,...

The ORS preparation contains Na+ 90 mEq/L, K+ 20 mEq/L, HCO3- 30 mEq/L, Cl- 80 mEq/ L and glucose 111 mM/L. It was given in doses of 50~80 ml/kg, body weight/day for mild dehydration, 80~100 ml for moderate and 100~130 ml for severe dehydration. The total amount of ORS of one day was given within 4~8 hours. When the dehydration was corrected, the further lose of body fluid was complemented also with ORS. Close observation on 25 calves ( among which 9 had severe, 8 had moderate,and 8 had mild dehydration ) indicated that the dehydration of 24 calves was

犊牛流行性腹泻是一种多发病,其病死率较高,主要死亡原因为并发脱水和酸中毒,因此预防和纠正脱水是降低本病死亡的关键。本文报道用口服补液盐(ORS)治疗犊牛急性病毒性腹泻引起的脱水。ORS配方每升含Na~+、90、K~+20、HCO_3~-30,CI~-80mEq/L,葡萄糖111mM/L。方法:轻度脱水50~80,中度脱辆80~100,重度脱水100~130ml/kg,总量在4~8小时内分次喂入。脱水纠正后,依据粪便含水量用ORS补充继续丢失。结果严密观察25头,其中重度脱水9头,中度脱水8头,轻度脱水8头,用ORS治疗24头脱水在2~17 1/2小时(平均6.4小时)内纠正,有效率96.0%。失败1例由于大便继续丢失过多,加用静脉输液后脱水纠正。

The results of the complementary fixation test of virus showed that its titre have increased 6 times. The examine of pathoanatomy of the lambs infected by the virus showed that viral enteritis symptoms appeared in the lambs. The lamb's serum in recovery of its disease is positive by using serological assay.As the results described above, we preliminarily consider that this virus is a new strain of BVDV. called the InL strain of bovine viral diarrhea virus.

近年来,我们在内蒙羔羊下痢病流行区采集到一株牛病毒性腹泻病毒。83年到85年间,对内蒙三盟,二市,六旗(县),二个良种场的229份病粪样做了病毒检测,其阳性率达59%。该病毒粒子为直径40—80nm,具有囊膜的球形颗料。且与BVDV(牛病毒性腹泻病毒)的NADL株及Danish株有共同抗源。该病毒感染羔羊已传至22代,经补体结合反应测定,其效价提高了6倍。病羔羊的解剖病变观察,说明有病毒性肠炎的病变。病羊的恢复期血清测定为阳性。根据上述结果,我们初步鉴定该病毒为BVDV的一个株,暂命为BVDV的1nL株。

以郸城、鹿邑、沈丘、商水、唐河等县为基点,对豫东、西、南部及皖西广大地区流行的以腹泻为特征的黄牛传染性肠炎进行了全面深入地调查研究。结果表明,成年黄牛发病率为5.3%,犊牛发病率达61%,致死率为7.1%。经采集542份病料作细菌学检验证实,致病性大肠杆菌(E·Coli)感染率为25%,沙门氏杆菌(S·typhimurium)感染率为24%,肺肠型多杀性巴氏杆菌(P.multocida)感染率占9.5%。在此基础上又采集341份病料,经电子显微镜、免疫电泳等形态及血清学鉴定,结果发现牛病毒性腹泻病毒(Bo-vine virus diarrhea virus)感染率为45%,轮状病毒(Rotavirus)感染率占67%,冠状病毒(Coronavirus)感染率占11%,并可导致混合感染和继发感染。从而首次在我省发现黄牛传染性肠炎是由致病性大肠杆菌、沙门氏杆菌、轮状病毒、冠状病毒等犊牛腹泻病原和牛病毒性腹泻病毒两类病原所致的综合性感染症。依据类属抗原交叉免疫的原理,试用并推广了用猪瘟兔化弱毒疫苗代替BVD 疫苗对孕牛进行预防接种以减少犊牛发病率和中西结合的综合疗法,对于控制本病的发生和蔓延起到了决定性作用。
