This article describes in detail the tooth-shape characterisics of JC7 series of cylinder MCC which is designed and trial-produced respectively by Shaanxi Reaserch Institute of Textile Accessories and Wuxi Textile Accessories Manufacturing Factory. JC7 series,specially designed for all cotton yarn spinning of medium and fine counts, possesses a great geal of characteristics: lower total hight, lower tooth depth, smaller top area of tooth-points,smaller working angle, smaller width of basic part and greater teeth density. Besides, the article approaches the influence of the working angle size upon fibres floating and sinking. It points out that, so far as cotton fibre is con- cerned, the optimum working angle should be in the range of 70°~72°. At the end the article makes a comparative analysis between the technical performance of JC7 series cylinder MCC and that of BC3 ones.

According to the results of comparative tests by some textile mills of Shandong, Hebei and Jangsu Provences, Type JT73 MCC has been proved fully suitable for any chemical fibre spinning and superior to Type JT49 as well as the apanese Type FC—102: less knobs and naps, better yarn quality, easy winding etc. It has probably the same properties as Graf O-2815×0.8. In Dec. 1985, Type JT73 MCC gained the appraisal organized by the Ministry. This article gives a description and a thorough theoretical analysis to the characteristics and technological effects of JT73 Cylinder Metalic Card Clothing.
