This paper discusses the effects of the boiling range of the reforming feedstock on aromatics extraction. In order to achieve a 95 % aromatics recovery and produce a qualified 120# solvent oil from the raffinate, the proposed feedstock boiling range for ethandiol extraction is from initial boiling point to 140℃. Optimization of production can be realized by using the improved ethandiol solvent extraction process.

The aromatics recovery process using N-formylmorpholine as solvent were introduced. The characteristics of this process were discussed in detail. The influences of physicochemical properties of N-formylmorpholine on aromatics recovery process were also evaluated.
