This aeronautical structural analysis system for static analysis(H AJIF-I) is the first large software system developed by the Chinese Aeronautical Establishment(CAE). By using multilevel substructure analysis and finite element displacement method, this system is suitable for various linear static analysis of aeronautical structures. The maximum capacity of the system is as follows: 3000 nodal DOF of each substructure, 99 substructures. 10 levels of substructures. The system provides some statements for automatic data generation, so the initial data necessary for computation can be generated automatically. There are also several special statements for structural analysis, thus enabling user to organize his own computation flow, The system offers two solvers for high order sparse matrix, i.e. a modified variable bandwidth method and a hyper-matrix method. One of these methods will be chosen by users according to computer capacity and structural characteristics.The system consists of a sequence of functional modules which are independent of each other, so it can be modified and extended easily.There are approximately 30,000 source statements in the system and most of them were written in FORTRAN IV. At the end of this paper, a user's specification for stress analysis of an aircraft is presented as an example to demonstrate that the system is easy to handle.

In modern laboratories, data acquisition and processing is very im-portant. Especially in experimental high energy physics. Since the experimental eq-uipments are enormous and complicated, it requires high experimental data rate.Therefore data acquisition and processing become even more obvious. In order tosuit the needs of high energy physics, and to enhance reliability and flexibility ofexperiments, we have established DJS-130 multi-crate CAMAC computer on-linesystem. This system can be used also in other fields. The whole system consists ofa DJS-130/CAMAC branch driver, crate controller type-A and a variety of func-tional modules. In this system, the units are standardized, except the branch driverwhich is directly connected with the computer. Program designer may use assemblelanguage or other high level language. The DJS-130/CAMAC branch driver is aninterface of DJS-130 computer to the CAMAC crates. It is connected to the compu-ter through the bus driver and changes the control and status information to satis-fy communication requirements. The LAM processing procedure is as following. Ifa BD demand is sent by a crate to the branch highway and if it is not busy, itwill execute BG operation automaticly while executing BG operation. The datawords on BRW line will be latched onto data register (used as GL register), thenthe branch driver issues interrupt request to the computer may receive this inter-rupt request, thus it will be acknowledged. Crate controller type A is a standardequipment. It is essentially an interface of CAMAC dataway to the branch highway. It is indenpendent on the type of computer. The crate controller we developedconforms with the mandatory requirements of the CAMAC specification on electri-cal performance. In a CAMAC system, the functional modules are the executiveunits. Different modules may have different functions. Several kinds of CAMACmodules have been developed in our laboratory: counter, coincidence register, realtime clock generator, CRT display driver and dataway status, etc.

HAJIF-II is a program system developed by Chinese Aeronautical Establishment(CAE). It is able to accomplish the calculation of the modal characteristics of aircraft structures as well as the flutter and gust response analysis with the active control system taken into account. The structural model may be composed of 99 substructures each with 7000 degrees of freedom. 300 panels may be used in the calculation of nonsteady aerodynamic forces and 50 modes in the flutter and gust response analysis. The data generation system permits the flexible use of numerical data and topological description. 31 prescribed computational flows are supplied and an user can also organize his own computational flows as he needs. A structure can be discretized into finite elements or simulated by single spar. For the management of the stiffness and mass matrix a modified hypermatrix method is employed to omit all of inactive zero elements more effectively. A new algorithm, called a revised simultaneous iteration procedure, has been developed to solve the real eigenvalue problem and is more effective than the current agorithm. Modal synthesis technique with both free and fixed interfaces is adopted. Besides, two new methods of synthesis have been developed from the concept of multilevel substructures. Nonsteady aerodynamic forces are calculated by means of subsonic doublet lattice method for multiwings and aerodynamic forces in Laplace plane can be approximated with a curve-fitting procedure based on sinusoidal data. Flutter equations are solved by V-g and p-k methods and the continuous atmosphere turbulance are used in the gust response analysis. The system consists of a sequence of functional modules so it can be modified and extended easily. An advanced file management system has also been developed. There are approximately 26000 FORTRAN IV statements in the system. The HAJIF-II was applied to analyzing a number of typical aircraft structures and gave good results.
