光纤孤子通信是一种非线性全光通信,它克服了光纤色散和电子设备响应速度慢等缺点,具有不损失波形,不改变速度,保真度高等优点。在光孤子通信中,一些重要问题是由 Raman 效应来解决的。如光纤受激 Raman 放大是根据光纤中的受激 Raman 效应对光孤子进行能量补偿。本文较为系统地介绍 Raman 效应与光孤子通信。

This paper describes the principle of fiber gratings and its applications is fiber telecommunication, fiber laser amplifiers, fiber filters, optical fiber based sensors and dispersion compensation in high bit rate fiber communication sys-tems. The scheme of linearly chirped in-fiber Brags gratings for compensation of optical fiber dispersion is analysted in details.

详细阐述了光纤光栅的原理以及光纤光栅在光纤通信、光纤激光器、光纤放大器、光纤滤波器、光纤传感器和高速光纤通信系统中色散补偿方面的重要应用,并对线性啁啾Bragg光栅色散补偿技术进行了全面分析。

There are two kinds of optical fiber dispersion compensation techniques: one is the single mode dispersion compensation fiber based on fundamental mode, the an other one is the double mode dispersion compensation fiber based on high order modes. This paper mainly discusses the structure design, the compensation principle, the compensation technique, and the existing problems, as well as solutions for above two kinds of dispersion compensation fiber.

光纤型色散补偿技术主要有基于基模的单模色散补偿光纤和基于高阶模的双模色散补偿光纤两类。本文主要讨论这两类色散补偿光纤的结构设计、补偿原理和补偿技术,以及存在的问题和解决途径。
