High speed and large capacity are the trends in the development of optical fiber communications. WDM technology is a method for increasing the transmission capacity of optical fiber, but the transmission performance in WDM system with high speed and long distance is limited. Besides multistage EDFA making the bandwidth reduced and noise increased, the material dispersion of optical fibers is also an important factor to affect WDM systems. This paper mainly analyzes some effective factors on the transmission capacity of WDM systems, such as optical fiber dispersions, the pulse with original chirps, the phase modulation noise of lasers, optical fiber dispersion with non linear effects.

波分复用(WDM)技术是增大光纤传输容量的方法,但是在高速率、长距离WDM系统中传输性能受到限制。除了多级光纤放大器(EDFA)使带宽减小,噪声增大,光纤的材料色散也是对WDM系统影响的重要因素。本文主要分析光纤色散以及有初始啁啾的脉冲、激光器的相位调制噪声、有非线性效应时光纤色散对WDM系统传输容量的影响。

The transmission performance of non_zero dispersion shift fiber optical communication system using phase_sensitive amplifier (PSA) as an in_line amplifier is theoretically analyzed by computer simulation. We've simulated and analyzed the relations of ISI limit distance of PSA system with signal rate, optical fiber dispersion, amplifier spacing and average signal output power, along with the effect of phase_shifting between pumping and signal light and the signal pulse waveform to the transmission performance...

本文通过计算机系统仿真研究了以相敏光放大器(PSA)作为中继光放大器的非零色散位移光纤通信系统的传输性能 ,分析了PSA系统的码间干扰(ISI)限制距离与信号速率、光纤色散、放大器间距和放大器平均输出信号功率的关系 ,以及PSA中泵浦光和信号光之间的相位漂移和信号脉冲波形对级联PSA光传输系统传输性能的影响
