In this paper, generalized ridge estimate β~*(K) of the regression coefficientβ=Vec(B) is considered in multivariate liner model. In the meantime, it is pointed out that the criterion MSE for choosing the matrix K of generalized ridge estimate has several weakness. In order to overcome these weakness a new family of criteria Q(C) is adpoted Which it includes the criterion MSE as a special case. The good properties of the criteria Q(C) are proved and dicussed from theoretical point of view. The statistical meaning of the scale C are explaned and the methods of determining C for practical use are also sug-gested.
