This article introduces principally the testing of Halon1211 fire-extinguishing system carried out on board ships inour country. The testing proved that the system was highlyefficient in the extinction of oil fire, and the testing dataobtained therefrom have provided a scientific basis for thecompilation of Rules for ships in our country.
