In this paper, the problems of selecting materials, structural design and precise calculation of radial dimensions of the mold cavity in the powder hot forging dies have been investigated and discussed on the basis of powder hot forging experiments of the modybdenum products. The emphasis is put on the discussion of the applicability of the theoretical and empirical formulas used in the die design for the ferrous powder h ot forging to the refractory metal molybdenum powder hot forging die design. Transpasing C. L. Doweny's theoretical formula and applying it to the calculation of the dimensions of core rod of the punch, we obtained very satisfactory results. The physical meaning and application of the empirical parameter β in the empirical formula are analysed.

As a refractory metal-molybdenum are widly used in various fieleds. Decreasing sintering temperature is an important problem in the preparation of molybdenum materials. This paper mAlNly dealt with characteristics of low temperature sintering of molybdenum by adding small amount of Ni-Co and that compared with the sintering of pure molybdenum, Mo-Co、Mo-Ni and Mo-Ni-Co systems. As a refractory metal-molybdenum are widly used in various fieleds. Decreasing sintering temperature is an important problem in the preparation of molybdenum materials. This paper mAlNly dealt with characteristics of low temperature sintering of molybdenum by adding small amount of Ni-Co and that compared with the sintering of pure molybdenum, Mo-Co、Mo-Ni and Mo-Ni-Co systems. The sintering activation energies for these systems were determined. The low temperature sintering mechanism of molybdenum powder was studied. It was found that Ni-Co is a stronger activator at all temperatures studied. The activation energy of Mo-Ni-Co system is the lowest in above four sintering systems. These results proved that the addittion of two metals Mo-Co gives more apperciable densification than mon(?)metal cobalt or nickel. It shows the effect of synergism activation of nickel and cobalt on the sintering of molybdenum. The activated mechanism of two metals activator Ni-Co for the sintering of m. lybdenum is similar to monometal-nickel. We ascribe the activation effect of Ni-Co on the Sintering of molybdenum to comprehensive action, which includes solution-reprecipitation diffusion and other physics-chemistry processes.The predominant shrinkage mechanism for molybdenum is grAlN boundary diffusion.

研究用少量钴、镍和Co-Ni化学沉积的钼粉的烧结特性,比较了钼和Mo-Co、Mo-Ni-Co系的烧结特性,测算了其活化能,结果表明:镍、钴和Ni-Co的添加均改善了其烧结性能,镍比钴的效果好,而Mo-Ni-Co系的活化烧结效果最好。

Since 1989, the production and prices of molybdenum have been declining, and the total demand has been lower than the total production. From 1989 to 1990. Japaness production of molybdenum wire and plate increased slightly, but the prices of molybdenum powder and rod declined. It is suggested that China should develop the use of molybdenum in metallargical industry and strengthen the international trade of molybdenum, in order to improve the economic benefit of the Chiness enterprises.

自1989年以来,钼的产量及价格都是降低的,钼的总需量低于总产量。1989~1990年,日本钼丝、钼板的产量有所增加,但钼粉和钼棒的价格下降了。作者建议我国应该发展钼在冶金工业上的应用,加强钼的国际贸易,以提高我国钼企业的经济效益。
