In order to provide an experimental evidence for the controversial polarization mechanism of the beam-foil ions, He+ ions with energy of 1 MeV have been used to pass through a single crystal gold foil along the 〈110〉direction, and random direction, and the Stokces parameters of Hell 4686 (?) 4f→3d transition have been accurately measured.

The spring is designed by use of the smallest volume of pressure spring of viscose fiber opener as the aim of the optimum design,and the wire diameter d,the mean diameter D 2 and the working circle n as the design variables,and use the method of restrained random direction exploration of restrained surpassed direct solutions to design the optimum spring,And the results of optimum design are; d=10 mm,D 2=52 mm,n=10 round.

在设计中以粘胶纤维开棉机弹簧体积最小作为最优化设计目标，以弹簧钢丝直径 d、弹簧中径 D2 及弹簧工作圈数 n 为设计变量，采用约束最优化方法直接解法中约束随机方向探索法对弹簧进行最优化设计，最优设计的结果：d ＝ 10 m m ， D2 ＝ 52 m m ，n＝ 10 圈。

With probability characteristics of the basic random variables known,reliability optimization design of torsion bar has been done with the random perturbation method and the constraint random direction method. Reliability optimization design can be done directly with aid of the computer software,and information about design can be obtained quickly and exactly.

As the separation of seismometers becomes large enough, microseism can be assumed as a random noise, the signal to noise ratio will be increased n~(1/2) times by using multiple detection, when the effective waves strike the seismometers fairly well in phase. But where reflected waves from strong dipping or shallow beds are involved, the discriminatory powers of seismometers might defeat its purpose unless the seismometers in each group are closely spaced. Assuming microseisms to be plane waves traveling to the earth surface from random directions, the problem of how far the detection can be improved when the seismometers in a single group are closely spaced is studied in detail. It is shown that the relative amplitude of microseisms in the records depends statistically not only on the numeber of seismometers in a single group, but also on distances between them, the microseismic frequency spectra and the elastic velocity in the medium. The result obtained in this paper can be used as a guide for choosing multiple seismometer confiquration in seismic field operation.

The optimum correction factors (the angular and the height correction factors) are given out in the tables. They may be recom- mended in design practice. After analysing the results obtained on the basis of the two theories respectively, we consider it is more reasonable to apply the "Flash Temperature Theory" in design practice.
