But these coverage metrics methods based on program can not be applied in the condition of black-box. Therefor this paper puts foreword a concept of software testing adequacy based on outside attributes, that is on the function coverage. However it is not enough that a more complex safety-critical software only meet the software testing adequacy of function coverage, it should add the safety extension testing. After analyzing the fault-detecting ability of software testing technique in the black-box condition, the conclusion that the software safety testing technique based on the independent assessment organization have the condition to find more software hazard faults in theory.
