     The heat value of several main species of fuel forest in Yunnan were determinated by using GR3500 microcomputer oxygen bomb calorimeter, the results show that the heat value of trunk and bark of the 7 species: Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus maideni,Eucalyptus camaldulensis, Acacia dealbata, Leucaena leucocephala, Cassia siamea, Robinia pseudoacacia are quite high. There are about fifteen species of the genera Tamarix in the northwestrn portion of our courtry. This paper deals with eleven of them namely Tamarix clongata, T. kan-sue nsis, T. laxa, T. hohenackeri, T. juniperina, T. florida, T. SP. T. hisFida, T. leptostachys, T. ramosissima and T. chinensis. Among them, T. ramosissima is the moat popular distributing one in this region; T. SP. is only seen in the district of Takaramagan delft of Singkian province; T. kansuensis is an indigenous species of Kansu province and merely distributes in the districts of Mingchiug and Gingtar within the province; T. juniperinn have only been discovered in Chinghai province northwestern China, but it is quite a common species spreading about the north China. This genera contains plants which are able to adapt to the strict contincntal climate that possesses characters of low moisture, saline soil and drift sand. In regard to their vegetation nature, they belong in general to the following plant communities; Tamarisk scrub on saline meadows; Populus diversifolia—Tamarix society along interior rivers; Tamari laxa—Tamarix ramosissima assaciation among desertts and Tamarix SP. association within regions of sand dune. For the sake of hurrying up the alternation of dry climate in this port of our country and the reasonable utilization of tamarisks in order to restrain the calamity of dry wind drift sand, protect agricultural and cattle production proof safety of transportation in this region, it is of great significance to take further detail study on this genera and engage in the experinaents of cultivation.

Through the investigations of Yang Si Chuan, we have found out that there are 3 major problems. 1. Fuel shortage. In the years of bumper harvest the fuel can be used only for 8 months, while in the drought years somewhat for 6 months. During the rest months, roots of plants are dug out to be used·as fuel. 2.Manure shortage is another problem. 100kg of artificial fertilizer per mu is usually applied. So the output is as low as 50 kg per mu, and during bad years it is only 25kg per mu. 3.Forage grass shortage....

Through the investigations of Yang Si Chuan, we have found out that there are 3 major problems. 1. Fuel shortage. 通过对羊嘶川村的调查,本文指出羊嘶川村存在的主要问题为三个: 1.缺少燃料。在丰收年景中,燃料只能够烧八个月,而干旱年份勉强可维持六个月,其余4~6个月的时间靠铲草皮做燃料。 2.缺少肥料。平均每年每亩仅施肥100公斤,还有很多农田不施肥。因此平均亩产粮食仅百斤左右,遇到干旱年,每亩仅产50斤左右。 3.缺少饲草和饲料,因此限制了家畜的发展。羊嘶川村虽然营造了168.6公顷人工林,但由于没有营造薪炭林,所以燃料仍然不足。最后本文提出了大力发展乔、灌、草;开展多种经营;提高粮食产量等措施。

The soil on hilly land which has an area about 81 thousand hectares in total in this county is an important natural resources.It has a great potentiality in the exploitation for fruit and forest production.On the basis of soil survey and study in laboratory of the representative soil profiles we found that most of the soils on hilly land should be classified as the Yellow-Red Earth,a subgroup of the Red Earth under alli-tic soil order.According to the characteristics of the hilly soils, a project of the exploitation...
