HA's ability of photo-sensitization at the pan-light and 460-490nm corresponds to 72% (the ratio of Do values.83/116) of UV action, when the concentration of HA is 5 μg/ml.At lower fluence,however, the effect of photosensitization(the value of quasi-threshold flu-ence Dq is lower) of HA for CHO cells is stronger than that of UV.Analysis of the survival curve parameters shows that the repair of sublethal damages and potential lethal damages of the cells by photodynamic sensitization of HA is more difficult than that induced by UV (i.e. the accumulative effects of HA's photo-sensitization is not obvious) . Also, it is suggested that the main target of the HA's photosensitization be cell mambrane.

When the cells were treated with 3-aminobenzamide (3AB), a specific inhibitor of ADPRT, and subjected to γ-ray irradiation at a dose of 6 Gy, the decrease of intracellular NAD was retarded. Consequently, the rejoining of DNA ssb was inhibited,the PLDR of the cells was depressed, and the survival fraction of tumor cells sharply decreased. These results might suggest a possible way to increase the efficiency of cancer radiotherapy.

Fractionated irradiation is one of the important methods studyingrepair of radiation damage. Some authors reported that caffeine, a repair inhibitor.had no effects on fractionated irradiation in human cell. animal cell and Vicia faba.And they concluded that caffeine inhibited the repair of potentially lethal damage(PLD), but did not inhibit the repair of sub-lethal damage (SLD). In this study, theeffect of caffeine on the repair of PLD and SLD were reexamined in wheat and bar-ley systems. The germinating seeds of wheat of barley were pre-irradiation treated 3 hwith 5×10~(-3) mol/L caffeine, then they were irradiated by single or fractionated X-ray doses. The results showed that after caffeine treatment the effect of fractionatedirradiation was disappeared. In this case, caffeine not only inhibited the repair of PLDbut also inhibited the repair SLD. In previous fracttionated radiation experiments, the repairs during interval werediscussed in detail. but the repairs after whole irradiation were neglected. Accordingto the results of this experiment and some early reports about fractionated irradiation,the repair efficiency during interval and the repair function after whole irradiationwere discussed.

分次照射是研究辐射损伤修复的重要途径之一。本文报道用修复抑制剂咖啡因预处理后用X射线单次或分次照射小麦或大麦萌发种子,来研究咖啡因对潜在致死损伤修复和亚致死损伤修复的作用。和别的作者的结果不同,咖啡因既能抑制潜在致死损伤的修复又能抑制亚致死损伤的修复。根据本文的实验结果,讨论了分次照射中间歇期间的修复效率以及照射结束后的修复过程。
