 This paper studies intersection theory on the compactified moduli space ${\mbox{$\cal M$}} (n,d)$ of holomorphic bundles of rank n and degree d over a fixed compact Riemann surface $\Sigma$ of genus $g \geq 2$ where n and d may have common factors. Laboratory experiments have been performed to find out the degree of purification obtained from ozonation and the relations between the various factors concerned. Experiments consist of treating the wastewater in static and flowing conditions. Based on the static state experiments the effluents from the aeration tanks and the flotation tanks of the wastewater treatment plant of Tungfanhung oil refinery have been treated with ozone in single-stage columns and multi-stage columns at different contact depths and different contact periods, by using various dosages of ozone to obtain the best degree of purification under the conditions of experiments. The results of experiments show that ozonation as a tertiary treatment method for oil refinery wastewater gives very satisfactory results on the main pollution parameters: such as phenol, oil, sulfides, color, C O. D., etc., and can be used as an effective method for controlling water pollution.
