A new kind of thermodynamic properties is proposed which is designated by the name of b functionwhere θ1 and θ2 are θ functions of two reference fuels which, can be selected arbitrarily.The & function is dependent only on temperature and independent of hydrogen-carbon ratio of the fuel and fuel-air ratio for CnHm-air system. With the aid of the & function a set of generalized tables of thermodynamic properties has been worked out, which can be applied to obtaining the thermodynamic properties of CnHm-air system combustion products at any fuel-air ratio easily and exactly. A specimen of the generalized tables is given in this paper.

This paper reports the results of an experimental investigation of the autoignition chemistry behaviors of Primary Reference Fuels (n heptane and iso octane)and their blends of different octane ratings.Experimental work was carried out on a motored engine to examine the effects of the inlet air temperature,fuel octane number,engine speed and compression ratio on the oxidation and autoignition of the fuels.The experimental results show that the larger the octane number of the fuel,the higher is the required inlet air temperature for autoignition.An increase in compression ratio reduces the inlet air temperature required for autoignition.While the effect of engine speed on the required inlet air temperature for autoignition is different for different octane numbers.

本文介绍了标准参考燃料(正庚烷和异辛烷)及其混合物氧化自燃化学特性的实验研究结果。作者在倒拖发动机上分别研究了进气温度、燃料辛烷值、发动机转速及压缩比对燃料氧化自燃的影响,结果表明:辛烷值提高,需要较高的进气温度才能使混合气自燃;增加压缩比,降低了自燃所需的进气温度;而发动机转速对自燃所需进气温度的影响则随所用燃料辛烷值的大小而异。
