The present paper is a cybernetics study on the sub-tidal sea level variations from a more extensive investigation on the "sea-river-atmosphere" system in the Zhujiang River Delta, Guangdong, China. The two-year long continuous time series records of sea level and meteorological reveal large amplitude fluctuations within the sub-tidal range 0.01-0.50 cpd. These fluctuations represent direct or indirect response of the estuary to variations in river discharge, wind stress and atmospheric pressure. MISO CAR models...

The present paper is a cybernetics study on the sub-tidal sea level variations from a more extensive investigation on the "sea-river-atmosphere" system in the Zhujiang River Delta, Guangdong, China. The two-year long continuous time series records of sea level and meteorological reveal large amplitude fluctuations within the sub-tidal range 0.01-0.50 cpd. These fluctuations represent direct or indirect response of the estuary to variations in river discharge, wind stress and atmospheric pressure. MISO CAR models are identified based on 1982 time series records at five stations along the estuary. System output is sea level, system inputs are river discharge, north and east components of wind stress and atmospheric pressure. Models thus obtained and validated are used to conduct multistep prediction of 1983 mean sea level with good agreement. Frequency response analysis based on the models provides some important insights into the system. System simulations re veal, quantitatively, the relative importance and variations of the control variables on sea level in the estuary. Response analyses in both frequsn-cy and time domains indicate that the existence of an oscillatory zone in the estuary.

本文应用现代控制论研究河口非潮汐海平面变化及其与影响要素的关系。两年连续的水位及水文气象要素资料表明,在0.01—0.50cpd的频带上水位有相当高能的波动,这些波动的能量主要直接或间接来自风应力、河流径流以及河口外的海平面波动。本文应用1982年时间序列辨识了五个二阶的MISO CAR模型,系统输出是河口亚潮频率海平面;系统输入是河流人注流量、风应力和气压。模型检验后对1983年亚潮频率海平面进行一步和多步后报,符合良好。系统仿真定量地估计了各控制因素对水位的相对重要性。频域和时域分析都表明河口水位系统具有振荡特性。

In this paper,the relationship between the occurrence of earthquakes and the solar-lunar tidal force in the areas of south-west and north of China bas been researched. Through studying three components of tidal force and the occurrence time of earthquakes whose epicenters were in one rupture, we find there is important relationship between the west-east component of tidal force and the occurrence time of earthquakes. Using this result, we will improved the forecasting possibility andprecision.

本文研究了中国西南及华北地区日月引潮力和地震发生时刻的关系。通过对引潮力三分量(垂直、东西及南北分量)的分析及把地震按所处断裂构造带分区,发现引潮力的东西方向水平分量与地震发生时刻有密切关系。利用此结论可以提高对地震发生时刻的预报准确性。
