Molecular recognition is important chemical conception that makes enzymatic reaction, information transmission and energy transfer between different media comprehended in a molecular lever. It helps us to discuss the intermolecular noncovalent forces and use the interactions, of host-guest chemical hydrophobicity, static electricity, hydrogen bond, to separate, detect and quantitatively determine the relevant materials...

Molecular recognition has been developed to be one of the focusing research field in recent years. Molecular recognition is important chemical conception that makes enzymatic reaction, information transmission and energy transfer between different media comprehended in a molecular lever. It helps us to discuss the intermolecular noncovalent forces and use the interactions, of host-guest chemical hydrophobicity, static electricity, hydrogen bond, to separate, detect and quantitatively determine the relevant materials of biorelevant molecules. Such borderline subject work is anticipated to be exploited in analytical and relevant fields. This article reviews the development and achievment in the molecular recognition of relevant materials of biorelevant molecules with 70 references.

The binding of eriochromocyanine R (ECR) to bovine serum albumin (BSA ) in acidic solution was investigated based on the fact that the absorption spectra of free and bound ECR are different. It is considered that the noncovalent binding forces (mainly the electrostatic force) are the binding force between ECR and BSA. The apparent binding constant was determined to be 5. 2×105, the maximum binding nuniber 38, and the Sandell index 0. 75μg/cm2 in 0. 5% NaCl solution at pH 2. 4.
