At present, coding for logging cable telemetry system often uses Manchester code. Manchester code's receiving circuit is simple and reliable, but its frequency band is not fully used. Special downhole environment requires small and reliable downhole logging tools with faster data transmission speed. Transmission rate of new high density bipolar coding (HDB3) is two times higher than that of Manchester code; moreover, HDB3 has better error checking ability and lower coding error. At present, coding for logging cable telemetry system often uses Manchester code. Manchester code's receiving circuit is simple and reliable, but its frequency band is not fully used. Special downhole environment requires small and reliable downhole logging tools with faster data transmission speed. Transmission rate of new high density bipolar coding (HDB3) is two times higher than that of Manchester code; moreover, HDB3 has better error checking ability and lower coding error. In the logging cable telemetry system based on HDB3 coding, HDB3 coding and decoding and its corresponding controlling logics are integrated into CPLD so that the configuration of the system is reduced. Time domain balancing technique makes the transmission rate of the logging cable expand to about 125 kHz. Therefore, the system mentioned above completely meets the requirements of the basic data transmission rate (100 kbit/s) designed for existing computerized logging tools.

目前 ,测井电缆遥传系统的编码方法是曼彻斯特编码。曼彻斯特码的接收电路简单可靠 ,但频带利用率不高。特殊的井下环境要求井下测井仪器的尺寸小、可靠性高而且具有高速数据传输能力。新型三阶高密度双极性码 (HDB3 )的传输速率是曼彻斯特码的 2倍 ,而且检错能力强 ,误码率低。基于HDB3码的测井电缆遥传系统是将HDB3编码、解码及其相关的控制逻辑集成于CPLD中 ,从而减小了传输系统的几何尺寸。用时域均衡技术把测井电缆的传输带宽扩展到12 5kHz左右。所以 ,这种基于HDB3码的测井电缆遥传系统完全可以满足数控测井仪的 10 0kbit/s的基本数据传输速率要求。
