The wear-resisting properties of high Aluminium Zinc based foundry alloys has be-en studied and in comparison with those from two bronze bearing alloys tested with the same procedures. The machnisum of wear resistance of the alloys was discussed as well as the influence of minute addition of elements on the wear-resisting properties of high Aluminium Zinc alloys was investigated Experimental data show that wear-resisting pro-perties of the high Aluminium Zinc alloys are a little better than that of the two bronze bearing alloys or equivalent to them. Furthermore, minute addition of elements can make improvement on the wear-resisting properties of the alloys. It may be considered that the high Aluminium Zinc alloys are a kind of material possessing considerable fine wear -resisting properties and could be substituted for certain amount of bronzes. They are promising alloys for wear companents indeed.

By addition of some masking agents, the reaction can be applied for direct determination of molybdenum and zinc in human urine.
