Young Masson pine with high resistance has highcontent of β-pinene, monoterpene and abietic-type resin acid. Similar resultS were obtained from theculturing PWN on PDA of Botrytis cinerea by using the several compounds above.High content of β-pinene, monoterpene and abietic-type resin acid and low content of longifolene and dehydroabietic acid(the young Masson's Pine have) can curtail PWN's propegation.

直干桉苗梢枯病多发生在苗木的嫩茎和梢部的叶片上,病部表现失绿变褐至黑褐色腐烂、茎部干枯缢用、叶片萎蔫后干枯卷曲不脱落,导致苗木嫩梢萎蔫弯曲下垂而枯死。经分离培养、接种试验鉴定其病原菌为葡萄孢属、灰葡萄孢菌。
