Geospace environment is very important for live and development of human.Space storm-meaning all particle,electromagnetic,magnetospheric and ionospheric disturbances resulting from solar storms,coronal mass ejections,fast solar wind streams-pose several costly hazards.They can impair hardware in space and disrupt power,communication grids on Earth and communications with satellites,navigation systems and the Global Positioning System.Geospace environment forecast has galvanized attention of the research community.Some developed countries have made progresses in the forecast.China should strengthen international cooperation,observation and research to significantly improve the level of geospace environment forecast at the beginning of next century.

With the development of space technique, the space systems are becoming more and more complicated, but they are more and more susceptible to space weather. Consequently, space weather forecast is being widely researched in the world. The great impacts on the normal life of human made by space weather are presented in this paper. The importance about solar X-ray imaging in space weather forecast is expatiated on. The fundamental principle, the principal design and the instrument characteristics of celestial and solar X-ray grazing imager operating successfully in space are introduced. The principal technical indices of solar X-ray imaging telescope (SXIT) which is being developed in China are presented. The SXIT integrates the gracing incident telescope and the normal incident telescope and operates in the 0.4--10 nm X-ray band interval and the 19.5 nm EUV band. It can provide the high resolution solar disk imaging for its 45 arcmin field of view and 5 arcsec spatial resolutions. The SXIT is the newest solar storm monitor at present. The SXIT extends the temperature response to the coronal plasma and enhances the sensitivity to the coronal plasma with lower temperature, so more signatures and precursors of the solar eruption can be observed by the SXIT. The SXIT is dedicated to domestic space weather forecast. It will firstly fly on the FY-4 serial meteorological satellites that operates on a geostationary orbit, so real-time data for space weather forecast can be obtained 24 hours per day. The SXIT will greatly enhance the ability of the domestic space weather forecast and the research of solar physics if it operates successfully on orbit.

The Solar X-EUV imaging telescope will be used to monitor and predict the solar activities which result in the variations of space weather. It is dedicated to the space weather forecast research. The solar X-EUV imaging telescope operates in the X-ray waveband of 4~100 and the EUV wavelength of 195. And it can provide the high resolving solar full-disk images with its field of view of 45′ and angular resolution of 5″. The paper presents the rudimental design of the telescope, analyzes its sensitivity to the coronal plasma of different temperature, its responses to the different solar activities, and the combining applications of filters of the telescope. The solar X-EUV imaging telescope integrates the gracing incidence telescope and the normal incidence telescope, hence expands the imaging capabilities of only X-ray imaging. More signatures and precursors of the solar eruption can be observed by the solar X-EUV imaging telescope. The solar X-EUV imaging telescope is the latest type in comparison with other solar storm monitoring instruments at present.

太阳X_EUV成像望远镜用来监测和预报影响空间天气变化的太阳活动,专门服务于空间天气预报研究.望远镜工作在4~10 0 的X射线波段和195 极紫外谱段,视场角4 5′,角度分辨5″,提供全日面、高分辨的成像观测.文中分析了太阳X、EUV波段的成像观测应用,介绍了X_EUV望远镜的基本设计,分析了望远镜对不同温度日冕等离子体的敏感性、对不同太阳活动现象的响应及反演日冕等离子体参数过滤片的组合利用.太阳X_EUV成像望远镜集成了掠入射望远镜和正入射望远镜两套系统,扩展了单一X射线望远镜的成像功能,能够观测更多的太阳爆发先兆现象或者伴生现象,是目前国际上同类仪器中最新的太阳成像监测仪器.
