The signals result from the anisotropy of thermoelectricity in YBCO films. The thermoelectric voltages, shown the ns respondse time to the laser pulses,are linear to for power and wavelength independent. The epitaxial YBCO films preped by laser ablation. The films are superconductors with transition temperature 84-90K

Abstract We have studied laser induced voltages of Pr doped Y Ba Cu O films grown on oriented substrates at room temperature. Compared with Y Ba Cu O films, Pr doped films have larger thermoelectric voltages and also have good energy linear response. We attributed the enhancement of the response signals by underdoping Pr to the decrease of carrier density in Cu O plane which drastically enlarge S ab through enhancement of phonon drag effect.
