Using high embankment extension deformation prediction of Huning Expressway as the applied engineering background and basing the previous settlement prediction studies, this paper generalizes the practical calculation methods of high embankment settlement back analysis and prediction and discusses the feasibility of the theory“the whole calculation of high embankment settlement is coupled by non-linear Biot consolidation calculation and the whole roadbed rheologic calculation”.
