In this paper, based on the effect of both of them in latitude and time observation, the data of observation of a Danjon astrolabe at the Shanghai Observatory from 1960 to 1978 were analysed with the method of maximum entropy spectral analysis. The existence of the Earth's liquid core, produce a nearly diurnal wobble of the Earth's rotation axis, and a free nutation in space companied. In this paper, based on the effect of both of them in latitude and time observation, the data of observation of a Danjon astrolabe at the Shanghai Observatory from 1960 to 1978 were analysed with the method of maximum entropy spectral analysis. The period and amplitude produced by space free nutation in data of latitude and time observation were 208 mean solar days and 0."011±0."003 in latitude, 209 mean solar days and 0."022±0."004 in time respectively; we then obtained the period and amplitude of nearly diurnal free wobble as 23h 57m 01s (sd) and 2."26 × 10-5 in latitude, 23h 57m 04s (sd) and 4."52×10-5 in time respectively.
