The Yiwulüshan metamorphic core complex formed in the Cretaceous is of symmetric type.Its center is the late Yanshanian Yiwulüshan monzogranite,surrounded by a metamorphic core composed of Archean metamorphic rocks showing the deformation features of the deep levels of the crust.The meta-morphic core is separated from the Mesoproterozoic in the lower part of the cover on the north and east by a detachment fault and from Cretaceous brittle-deformed clastic rocks on the west by the boundary normal fault on the southeastern margin of the Fuxin basin.In cross section,the structural system of the metamorphic complex core is relatively complete,and different structural belts and structural positions have different ore-controlling effects.The deposits may be divided into:(1)those occurring in the ductile rhe-ological layer at middle-to deep levels of the detachment fault,e.g.the Paishanlou gold deposit;(2)those occurring in the ductile rheological layer at middle-to shallow levels of the detachment fault,e.g.the Daban gold deposit;(3)those occurring in the ductile-brittle structural layer in the lower part of the cover,e.g.the Dayingtaogou gold deposit;(4)those occurring in the brittle structural layer in the lower part of the cover,e.g.the Wujiazi gold deposit.The coherence and relationships of these different types of deposit show the control of the metamorphic complex core system on the gold deposits in this area.

The Taojiang-Chengbu fault zone is one of the main reactivation faults in the "aulacogen" of Central Hunan. Owing to repeated reactivation, the fault zone is characterized by large scale, deep dissection and evident rock- and ore-controlling effect, and is the important ore-controlling fault zone in Central Hunan. The northeastern part of the fault zone refers to the section from Liaojiaping, Anhua in the southwest to Banxi, Taojiang in the northeast, totaling 40 km in length. The section mainly cuts two structural beds, the Xuefeng and Caledonian strata. There occur middle- and large-scale vein antimony ore deposits along the fault zone, which has increased the prepotion of antimony reserves of Central Hunan. New recognition is proposed in this paper based on the study of types and features of the deposits, association type of ore-controlling structures, metallogenic law and metallogenic-prospecting model of the antimony deposits. Based on the proposed model, the Dafuping antimony deposit and the Liaojiaping gold deposit were predicted and inferred to be a middle- and a large-scale deposit respectively.

桃江—城步断裂带是湘中“拗拉槽”中主要复活断裂之一,由于多期复活,因此具有规模大、切割深、控岩控矿明显的特点,为湘中地区重要的控矿断裂带。北东段即指南西自安化廖家坪,北东至桃江板溪的走向长度约40 km的地段,该段主要切割了雪峰期及加里东期两个构造层,并有中—大型规模脉状锑矿产出,而正是这些脉状锑矿逐渐改变湘中锑矿储量的比例,通过对该锑矿类型、特征、控矿构造组合型式、锑矿成矿规律、成矿—找矿模型的研究,提出了新的认识,并根据所建模型预测了大福坪锑矿和廖家坪金矿,经验证分别达到了中型及大型规模。
