Through the examination we have found that most cracking paths are through the interfaces of WC particles and the matrix.According to different conditions of heat treatment,we can get the dimple fractures,quasi - cleavage fractures or TTS fractures. If you want to improve the mechanical properties of the alloy,it is important to increase the ductility of the matrix and improve the wetting characteristics of the interfaces of WC-steel composites,

采用扫描电镜研究了WC——钢复合结构的断口形态。试验用的合金为:WC 50%,C 0.25%,Cr 0.5%,Mo 0.25%。结果证实此类断口与普通复合材料的韧——脆性断口相似,而基体的断口与普通钢的断口相类似。很明显,断口中的大韧窝是以WC颗粒为中心的。有时在WC颗粒表面出现解理断口。通过试验发现裂纹扩展途径主要是沿着WC与基体的界面进行。通过不同的热处理,可以获得韧窝断口,准解理断口或撕裂型断口。为了提高此类合金的机械性能,改善基体的韧性与WC——钢界面的浸润性是十分重要的。

This paper has evaluated the effect of fracture toughness KIC on the delami-nation wear of WC-steel composite structures. The main experimental material is GJW-50 ( WC 50%, C 0.25%, Cr 0.5%, Mo 0.25%).The experimental results have showed that the wear of WC-steel composite structures is a delamination wear of crack propagation controlling mechanism under the lubricating sliding contact condition. This paper has evaluated the effect of fracture toughness KIC on the delami-nation wear of WC-steel composite structures. The main experimental material is GJW-50 ( WC 50%, C 0.25%, Cr 0.5%, Mo 0.25%).The experimental results have showed that the wear of WC-steel composite structures is a delamination wear of crack propagation controlling mechanism under the lubricating sliding contact condition. KIC is an important factor affecting wear volume and wear rate. The worn surface topography and fractures have been observed by scanning electron microscopy, and the acting mechanism of KIC has been studied. Eventually the wear equation dependent on the surface hardness and fracture toughness is presented according to the analyses of Archard and Suh's wear equations and the experimental results.

本文初步研究了WC-钢复合材料的断裂韧性K_(1C)对剥层磨损的影响。试验材料是GJW-50合金(WC50%,基体成份为50GrMo钢)。 实验结果表明:在高应力、滑动及润滑条件下WC-钢复合材料的磨损是裂纹扩展速率控制的剥层磨损。K_(1C)是影响磨损体积和磨损速率的重要力学性能因素。最后,根据实验结果,提出了一个依赖于材料表面硬度和断裂韧性的磨损公式。
