The probable enzymatic hydrolysis paths under the deinking conditions are put forward as follows:(1) the enzymatic hydrolysis of the small element or fibrils at the fiber surface,which can cause the improvement of the pulp drainage; (2) the random hydrolysis along the fiber surface,so-called the peeling action,leading to cleaner fiber surface; (3) the selective hydrolysis at some defects resulting in the cross corrosion or even breakage of the fiber and reducing the fiber length and strength.
