On the other hand,the synergetic effect of endoglucanases and cellobiohydrolases could lead to the cross corrosion or even cross breakage of the fibers,and this is probably the major cause of reduction of fiber average length and strength. The probable enzymatic hydrolysis paths under the deinking conditions are put forward as follows:(1) the enzymatic hydrolysis of the small element or fibrils at the fiber surface,which can cause the improvement of the pulp drainage; (2) the random hydrolysis along the fiber surface,so-called the peeling action,leading to cleaner fiber surface; (3) the selective hydrolysis at some defects resulting in the cross corrosion or even breakage of the fiber and reducing the fiber length and strength.
