The epidemiological survey and analysis of some elements(Fe,Cu,Zn,Pb,Cd,As,F,Mo,Se,Mn,Al,Ca,P)in 415 samples of water,soil,forages,crops,grains and bolld and hair of animals from surrounding of the Baiyin mining area showed that the waste gas and waste water producedin metals melting in factories caused Pb,Cd,Cu and Zn pollution to some extent in the surrounding environment.The contents of these elements were significantly higher as compared with those in the nor mal area(P<0.01 orp<0.05).It was also found that the degree of pollution was negative correlation to the distance from the factories.The polluted area was like an ellipse in shape for which the maximum length was 50 kilometers from the north to south and the widest distance was 30~40 kilometersbetween the east and west.In the area,pb and Cd contents of forages.grains and blood and hair of animals reached or exceeded the diagnostic values of animal poisonings.Since the factories went into operation,a great number of equine,sheep and goats suffered from the poisoning and even died.Generally,the morbidity and fatality rate of the poisoning were 30%or so,but sometimes might reach on to 80%.The poisoning could occur all the year round,but more often in the winter and spring.

The effect of VA-mycorrhizal infection on the growth and nutrient uptake of red clover was investigated at three different Zn levels. The results showed that mycorrhizal infection was not inhibited at the all three Zn levels used,which indicated that the applied fungus had tolerance to Zn pollution. The phosphorus nutrition of red clover was significantly improved by the mycorrhizal infection.Phosphorus concentration in mycorrhizal plants was doubled compared with that of non-mycorrhizal ones,and the shoot growth was thus increased significantly. The results also showed that mycorrhizal infection had different effects on micronutrients,After mycorrhizal infection,copper concentration was increased, Fe decreased and Mn,Zn unchanged in plant shoots.

采用三室隔网盆栽方法研究了3种不同施锌水平下,接种VA菌根菌(G.mosseae)对红三叶草植株生长和养分吸收的影响.结果表明,施锌水平对菌根侵染率无显著影响,说明供试菌种对锌的污染有较强的适应能力.菌根的浸染显著改善了植物的磷营养状况,使植株含磷量增加了1倍多,因此大大促进了植株的生长.菌根侵染对微量元素表现出不同的作用,与不接种的对照相比,菌根侵染植株体内Cu的含量增加,Fe的含量降低,而对Zn、Mn的影响不大.
