The pressure—time process in high energy gas fracturing determins the geometric shape of fractures and whether the casing and cement annulus are damaged. The laws of propellant burning and fluid drainage through the perforations are the two decisive factors affecting the pressure history. The paper modifies the pressure formula in the light of the laws of propellant burning in parallel layers and conditions for gas drainage, derives the formula of fluid drainage through perforations by the method of dimensionless analysis, and calculates transient pressure process by taking both propellant burning and drainage through perforations into consideration. Analysis and discussion of the computed results provide the theoretical basis for the design of propellant charging of high energy gas fracturing.
