The calculation and design methods of a uniform plane light source obtained by a prismatic or cylindrical cavity having various cross sections and perfectly diffusing surfaces are proposed from the fundmental principal of light flux interreflection. The accuracy of this method has been justified by experiments which indicate that truncation errors can be confined to an acceptable level. The illuminance boxes designed and built according to this method have proved their uniformity up to 97%.

The quartz box with a polished cover was designed, which enables the Zn, P4 vapor to diffuse into GaP surface layer at 810???CCCCCCCC. The movements of the Zn vapor atoms and P4 vapor molecules were analysed, the relation between the escape rate of the Zn atoms (or P4 molecules) and the box capacity,the structure factor of the gap was calculated.The formula ( 9 ) is the theoretical expression of escape rate of the Zn atoms through the gap between the cover and the box, where D is diffusion coefficient, V is the effective volume of the box, L, AAAAAAAAAA, l, is parameters of the gap. We define G = LAAAAAAAAAAA/l where G represents the structure factor of the gap. Then, the expression of escape rate is:Introducing a characteristic time TTTTTTT, we get the formula (12) , which shows that the numbers of Zn vapor atoms (or P4 vapor molecules) in the box decrease exponentially.For the box designed by us, the characteristic time TTTTTTT for Zn, atoms is 5.55XXXXXXXX104s. It is estimated that the number of Zn atoms in the box decreases 1/1000 in one minute. The decrease of 1/100 takes 97 minutes. T = 3.89XXXXXXXX104s for the P4 molecules. Its decrease by 9% takes an hour. In our experiments the difffusion needs 60 minutes. The decrease of the vapour atom number is negligible in diffusion time. Therefore, it can .ensure the requirement of zinc diffusion under the condition of surplus phosphorus vapor pressure. It is key point to design the box with G as small as possible.Fig.3 shows the experimental equipment. The trace of the escape of the diffusion source from the box is not discovered after diffusion of 60 minutes at 810???CCCCCCCC. The surface of the diffused samples is clean. The measurement value of the surface concentration is 1.5XXXXXXX1019/cm3 which reaches solid solubility of zinc in GaP under the diffusion temperature. The p-n junction is plain and level. The green LEDs made by this method emit light with 10mA and 2.1V.Using PHI 595 type electron energy spectrometer the profile of the diffusion samples(Fig.4) was obtained. The result is consistent with close tube diffusion.

理论计算给出了带盖砂磨石英箱内扩散源蒸汽的泄漏率和箱子容积、缝隙宽度,蒸汽分子在缝隙中运动的相互关系。实验证实了ZnP_2作为GaP LED高表面浓度扩散源的定压箱法扩散是可采用的。用设计加工的石英箱,对样片进行了多次定压箱法扩散,其结果与闭管扩散一致,且具有良好的重复性。

This paper reports that , on the basis of analysis of the power unit XT4032 Casting spinble box for its unreasonable structural technicality, the improving design scheme for it has been put out, and the considerable economic benefit has been obtained in the production practice. Thus, some basic principles of casting box design are presented here.

本文在分析XT4032动力头主轴箱体铸件结构设计的结构工艺性不合理的基础上,提出了改进设计方案,并在生产实践中取得了显著的经济效果,从而提出箱体铸件设计的一些基本原则。
