The most striking findings were as follow: the smooth muscle cells increased in size; large amount of PAS-Positive granules were present in the smooth muscle cells not only of myometrium but of blood vessels; the amount of RNA increased moderately. Ultrastructural alterations were observed under electronmicroscope. Results showed that RER were more abundant and their cisternae were enlarged and dilated in both the smooth muscle cells and the fibroblasts as compared with those in the control group.

The study was based upon observations of 67 adult wistar rats sustained 6-OHDA induced complete destruction of the nigrostriatal DA pathway on the left side. Rotation tests were conducted in a rotometer bowls with computer built-in designed by ourselves. Tests were initiated approximately one month after severing this Pathway.The animals were given 0.5 mg/kg of apomorphine hydrochloride that evoked consistent turning of the animal. An average turning rate of more than 7 cycle/minute (a full 360-degree turn as one cycle) was considered to meet the criterion for a succesful animal model. 32.8% of the experimental animals turned to the right consistently, contralateral to the lesion. T-maze tests showed that most of the experimental animals had a predilection for left-sided deviation. Brain sections of the experimental animals showed degernerative changes in left SN area, and no DA cell was seen there by histochemistry method SPG, also no DA terminals in the ipsilatetal caudate nucleus area were detectable.

Four kinds of enzyme were detected by histochemistry methods in 8 surgicallyresected specimens from patients with gastric cancer.The purpose of this studywas to observe the content and distribution of enzymes in normal,intestinal meta-plasia and carcinomatous mucosa of stomach.1.LAP was negative in normal gastric mucosa but intensely positive in inte-stinal metaplastic epithelium.One of the 8 carcinomatous mucosa was intenselypositive,and the invasiveness was strong.Thus,LAP might be of significant inthe diagnosis of carcinoma and in estimating the relationship between intestinalmetaplasia and the occurrence of carcinoma.2.The incidence of LDH,ANAE and ACP showed stronger activities in inte-stinal metaplastic epithelium than in normal one.The results revealed that thefunction of the epithelium with intestinal metaplasia was more active,playing arole of compensation in the injured gastric mucosa.The absorption might be astimulation to the gastric mucosa,promoting carcinogenesis.3.Except ANAE,the activities of LDH and ACP in gastric carcinoma increased,especially predominant in the small carcinoma nest and the single tumor cell.4.Changes of enzyme activity in gastric carcinoma were demonstrated.Throughthe explanation of the relationship of enzyme activity in between the epitheliumof intestinal metaplasia and of carcinoma,the biological behavior of gastriccarcinoma,could be better understood.

本文应用检测组织中4种酶活性的方法,观察正常胃粘膜、肠化胃粘膜及胃癌组织中酶的含量与分布状况,结果发现:1.LAP 在正常胃粘膜为阴性,而在肠化上皮为强阳性(+++),在癌组织中由于例数少,不好估价,但1例强阳性者癌细胞浸润性强。LAP 在诊断癌组织及估价肠化与癌发生的关系上或有用途,尚待进一步观察。2.LDH、ANAE 及 ACP 在肠化上皮有增强趋势,说明肠化上皮功能活跃。虽然有其代偿功能,但胃组织无乳糜管,肠化上皮的吸收功能对胃粘膜会是一劣性刺激,促使癌变。3.除 ANAE 外,LDH,ACP 在胃癌时活性增高。4.通过本文观察,可对胃癌的酶活性变化有一初步了解,并对肠化上皮酶活性变化与癌变关系稍加探讨,对癌细胞生物学行为也进行简述。
