The minimal working gas pressure is 2.5kg/cm2 (gage).In order to facilitate the site assembly, the condenser cone for main insulation is prefabricated in the factory.The development proving tests Hcd Ceen made-on epoxy resin insulator and sealing construction. The test specimen was subjected to all type tests without failure. Finally the termination was taken to the lightning impulse breakdown test. The test was endedby a failure in another pothead at 1800kV.Th eresults show that this termination designed is reliable ond some properties have reached to the le vel for 500kV products.

The design of a precision coaxial matched termination based on Harris' theory is described. The TEM mode of propagation in the resistor mount system is ensured by a tractrix outer conductor, so that the supplementary modes of propagation are eliminated. A uniform cylindrical film resistor without appreciable reactance has been used. A variation section in the form of a segmental arc of parabola is designed and inserted between the tractrix and the coaxial line in order to eliminate the discontinuities...

The design of a precision coaxial matched termination based on Harris' theory is described. The TEM mode of propagation in the resistor mount system is ensured by a tractrix outer conductor, so that the supplementary modes of propagation are eliminated. A uniform cylindrical film resistor without appreciable reactance has been used. A variation section in the form of a segmental arc of parabola is designed and inserted between the tractrix and the coaxial line in order to eliminate the discontinuities at the connections of the resistor mount with the inner and outer conductors of the input coaxial line. This section of constant impedance will smoothly bend the electric field from a planar wavefront to a spherical one and is essentially free from impedance discontinuity. Experiments show that the VSWR of the termination designed is less than 1.03 from 400 to 8000 MHz.

The surface charge density at SiSiO2 interface of a multi field limiting ring termination is a sensitive parameter affecting the breakdown voltage of the structure. Unfortunately, there is no proper method in measuring such a parameter. We have calculated the theoretical VR ~Vm curve through twodimensional numerical analysis, and successfully measured the experimental VR ~Vm curve. A method to find the real surface charge density at termination, via fitting the theoretical and experimental VR~Vm...

The result of analysis may be used to investigate the deflection of termination design and device process.

器件终端处的界面电荷密度是一个影响场限制环终端增压效果的敏感参数,尚无准确的测量方法.本文用数值模拟方法算得了环电位的理论曲线;用实验测量了环电位实验曲线.在此基础上提出了一种通过拟合理论和实验环电位变化曲线而得到实际器件终端处界面电荷密度的方法,可成为考核设计、指导工艺的有用手段.
