Application of ionic liquids in extraction separation including solid-solid separation of sodium sulphate and taurine,separation of benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylene from coating material and the recovery of nuclear waste using solid-liquid separation,separation of rare metal using monoazo substituted crow ether as ionic liquids,and desulfurization of gasoline oil using liquid-liquid extraction separation,especially combination of ionic liquid with supercritical CO_2 were described in detail.

The results obtained are satisfactory.In a study of the separation process in a shaking sluic, the pattern of fluid flow is analysed, the velocity profiles of fluid flow in various instants of time in one shaking cyle are illustrated and the ralationships between shearing rate of oscillating flow and the parameters of shaking are reported. Activating action of manganous ion is stronger than. ferrous ion.Atpresent, four kinds of flowsheets are employed in the treatment of tungsten sl ??imes in China: (1) a combined flowsheet of "shaking table-centrifugal separator-belt sluice; (2) combined flowsheet of "centrifugal separator-flotation"; (3) combined flowsheet of "magnetic separation-flotation"; and (4) combined flowsheet of "centrifugal separation-flotation-magnetic separation". For the treatment of complex tin slimes the typical processes are: centrifugal separator (for roughing) belt sluice (for cleaning-slime) table (for scavenging)-flotation. Three products produced, tin concentrate, rich tin middlings and lean tin middlings are smelted separately by different metallurgycal processes, such as reverbertory smelting, sulphide fuming and chloridization to increase overall recoveries of tin and associated mineral values from complex tin slimes.The new flotation process for the recovery of zinc oxide without desliming has been developed and the following reagent system can be used: 1) sodium hexametaphosphate; 2) emulsion of octadeca-amine and sulphide-the mixture of these two reagents (1:50), conditioned prior to flotation.A mathematical model of a spiral classifier has been formulated based on the concept of d_(50c) and thereduced performance curve. The model enables the performance of aspiral classifier to be calculated with reasonable accuracy when operating and design variables are known or can be measured. At the same time, a new equation has found to determine the corrected performance curve.In addition, a machenistic model of autogenous grinding which is established in terms of the energy balance principle is introduced. It devided the breakage of autogenous grinding into three parts: self breeakage, medium breakage and obrasion breakage.On the base of model a simulator has been developed for studying and predicting.
