Ih these cases a proposed equivalent rectangular section is used for reinforced concrete members subjected to compressive load with small eccentricity. The calculation procedures of members under eccentric compression and the approximate method for solving the cubic equation of the depth of the neutral axis by reducing power in separated regions are the same as those for rectangular section given in ref. [2].
