The recent works in wear research are reviewed,especially the works inChina in the past decade.It is well accepted that the wear resistance of amaterial isn't its intrinsical property,but it denotes the behavior of tribologysystem.This idea is stated here by different combinations of wear mechanismsin different tribology systems.points of view about the development in thisfield have been proposed.
