Galvanization from a cyanate bath should be and has been officially eliminated, owing to the severe environmental pollution, low current efficiency, large power consumption, slow deposition rate, and low production efficiency. Thus Zn Fe alloy passivation was used as a clean production technology to replace the galvanization from a cyanate bath, with a view to its advantages of absence of chromium pollution, low energy loss, quick deposition rate, and high current and production efficiency. Galvanization from a cyanate bath should be and has been officially eliminated, owing to the severe environmental pollution, low current efficiency, large power consumption, slow deposition rate, and low production efficiency. Thus Zn Fe alloy passivation was used as a clean production technology to replace the galvanization from a cyanate bath, with a view to its advantages of absence of chromium pollution, low energy loss, quick deposition rate, and high current and production efficiency. The corrosion resistance of the resultant passivated coating was evaluated maing use of neutral salt spray tests. It was found that the corrosion resistance of the passivated Zn Fe alloy coating was 3~5 times as much as that of the pure zinc plating. Namely, the corrosion resistance was above 200 h for the black passivation, above 168 h for the color passivation, and above 60 h for the silver white passivation. The developed process had been satisfactorily applied for the anticorrosion protection of the automobile attachments, condensation tubes of refrigerator, and bridge support of electric cable.

氰化镀锌严重污染环境 ,且电流效率低 ,电耗大 ,沉积速度慢 ,生产效率低 ,国家已明令禁止生产。而锌铁合金钝化无铬污染 ,属清洁生产工艺 ,电流效率 95 %以上 ,电耗少 ,沉积速度快 ,生产效率高 ,镀层防护性能比纯锌镀层提高 3~ 5倍。中性盐雾试验结果表明其耐蚀性 :黑钝化超过 2 0 0h ,彩钝化达 16 8h ,银白钝化 6 0h以上。该工艺在汽车配件、电冰箱冷凝管与电缆桥架等的应用均收到了良好效果。
