Among the two group metals, the capabilities of the ⅡA metals of suppressing soot and improving combustion are to some extent stronger than those of their IA counterparts, which is attributed to the distinct ionization characteristics of the two group metals in flames. In essence, the action magnitude of the IA and ⅡA metals is a direct function of their ionization activation energy. In view of the dual-route model of soot formation in the hydrocarbon flames, a three-step action mechanism is elaborated as an attempt to gain a further insight into the effects of SSCA containing IA and ⅡA metals on the sooting hydrocarbon flames.

The mechanisms of combustion improvement at low load operation in a heavy-duty supercharging diesel engine equipped with a twin inlet ports and variable inlet swirl intensity are analyzed experimentally and theoretically. The results show that the twin intake port gives lower swirl ratio than that of helical port under low load condition but higher than that of directed intake port. The swirl intensity still remains a high level although helical inlet port shows a slight decrease in flow rate compared to the twin inlet port, resulting in a relatively high cylinder pressure, large premixed combustion and high rate of heat release. Theoretical and experimental results suggest that the engine performance at low load can be improved with the variable swirl twin inlet port.

就双进气道可控进气涡流系统改善大功率增压中冷柴油机低负荷性能的作用机理进行了理论分析与试验研究。研究结果表明:在低负荷工况下,双气道进气时的涡流强度小于螺旋气道,大于直流气道;螺旋气道进气流量较之双气道虽有所减少,但其涡流比仍保持较高水平,致使缸内爆压、预混合燃烧量和最大放热速率均较大。理论计算与试验结果证明,采用双进气道可控进气涡流系统是改善大功率柴油机低负荷性能的一个有效途径。

Based on 234 series, R&D has been made on several units as combustion room, cylinder head, inlet pipe,injector, etc. These research works focus on structure-strengthen, combustion improvement and rational matching. Furthermore, rational matching on supercharger is analyzed. 236 series diesel engines are developed independently and tests showa wonderful performance. They can meet with EuroⅡstandards. And there is a brilliant and broad prospect for the application.

在原234系列柴油机基础上,从强化结构,改善燃烧,合理匹配角度出发,对一些部套进行了研制改进,如燃烧室、气缸盖、进气道、喷油器等,并对增压器的合理匹配进行了分析研究,自主开发了236系列柴油机。试验证明该机性能良好,达到欧Ⅱ排放标准,市场应用前景看好。
