The experiments were performed on 14 dc.gs and 11 rabbits anesthetized with sodium pentothal to determine the relationship between plasma hemoglobin(PHb) and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) induced by endotoxin (ET) in dose of LD750 After ET injection platelet, plasma fibrinogen, prothrombin time, serum fibrin(ogen) degradation products and plasma protamine paracoagulation test showed the changes of DIC. PHb concentration elevated markedly at the same time. The changes of PHb was the second in order of abnormality percentage and the first according to the change ratio. Thus the determination of PHb concentration can serve as a supplementary index for DIC diagnosis. The fact that there was only an intermediate negative correlation between PHb and platelet count and fibrinogen concentration shows that microangiopathy hemolysis associated with DIC is one of the causes of the increase in PHb concentration and suggests that the impairment of unit membrane may also contribute to the changes of PHb concentration. As the mortality of the animals with DIC is in direct proportion to PHb concentration, it is possible that PHb concentration is regarded as an index to evaluate the severity and the prognosis of ET-induced DIC.

In order to study mechanisms of endotoxin (ET) and endogenous pyrogen (EP) byperthermic ceilings, the febrile responses induced in rabbits by intravenous injection of varying doses of EP were observed, and the doses in which the febrile reactions of rabbits to ET and EP are limited by hyperthermic ceiling were identified. Furthermore, the febrile reactions of typerttermic ceiling plus different pyrogen load were observed. T, e experiment stowed: 1. The level of ET hypert ermic ceiling is notably higher in comparison to that of EP hypertiermic ceiling. The findings indicated that the mechanisms of ET fever and ET Lyperthermic ceiling are different from those of EP fever and EP hyperthermic ceiling. 2. After EP hyperthermic ceiling was added the load of ET. the altitude of fever exceeded the EP hyperthermic ceiling; but after ET hypertthermic ceiling was added the load of EP, the altitude couldn't exceed ET hyperthermic ceiling. The results suggested that ET hyperthermic ceiling contained EP hyperttermic ceiling. The latter was an important component of ET hyperttermic ceiling, but there are other factors participating in the mechanisms of ET fever and ET hyperthermic ceiling except EP.

为研究内毒素(ET)和内生致热原(EP)热限的形成机制,观察家兔静脉注射不同剂量ET和EP的发热效应。确定ET及EP的热限剂量后对ET与EP热限的发热水平以及热限加不同致热原负荷时发热水平的变化进行观察比较。实验表明:1.ET热限水平明显高于EP热限水平,提示ET性发热及热限的形成机制与EP性发热及热限形成机制有所不同。2.EP热限加ET负荷使发热高度突破了EP热限,而ET热限加EP负荷则未能使发热高度超过ET热限的水平。表明ET热限包含了EP热限,即EP热限是构成ET热限的重要成因,但不是全部。ET性发热及热限的机制中还有EP以外的因素参与。

This paper reports the study of the action of PGE and cAMP in the mechanism of Endotoxin (ET) fever. Unfasten rabbits were infused with Salicylic Sodium (SS; 8 M/min following an initial dose of 1.0 mM), then ET 1.0μg/kg was given 30 minutes after the beginning of SS infusion. It was found that 1) this quantity of SS could inhibit the rise of PGE concentration in plasma and CSF during the fever, but did not influence the rise of temperature caused by ET injection; 2) the concentration...

This paper reports the study of the action of PGE and cAMP in the mechanism of Endotoxin (ET) fever. Unfasten rabbits were infused with Salicylic Sodium (SS; 8 M/min following an initial dose of 1.0 mM), then ET 1.0μg/kg was given 30 minutes after the beginning of SS infusion. It was found that 1) this quantity of SS could inhibit the rise of PGE concentration in plasma and CSF during the fever, but did not influence the rise of temperature caused by ET injection; 2) the concentration of cAMP not only in plasma but also in CSF rose obviously during the febrile period, and this rise was not influenced by SS infusion. We concluded that .1) in this experiment, the rise of PGE concentration in plasma and CSF was not the important mediator in the first phase of ET fever;2) the rise of cAMP concentration in the central nervous system might take a major action in the mechanism of ET fever; 3) the rise of cAMP in plasma and CSF during ET fever was not mediated by the change of PGE, as someone had suggested.

为查明内毒素性双相热第一时相中体温升高与血浆及脑脊液中PGE或cAMP含量变化之间的关系,用20只家兔随机分为内毒素水杨酸钠实验组和内毒素生理盐水对照组。实验结果如下:(1)首次注射1.0mM随后灌注8μM/分钟水杨酸钠,可阻断由注射1.0μg/kg内毒素引起的血浆、脑脊液中PGE含量升高,但对其引起的发热效应没有影响。(2)在动物体温升高的同时,脑脊液、血浆中cAMP含量明显升高并与体温升高呈明显正相关,这些变化不受水杨酸钠对PGE含量增高的阻断作用所影响。作者推论:1.在本实验条件下,血浆、脑脊液中PGE含量升高,不是内毒素第一时相发热机制的主要环节。2.中枢cAMP含量升高在内毒素发热机制中起重要作用。3.在内毒素第一时相发热中,血浆及脑脊液cAMP含量增多,并非由PGE含量增高所介导。
