In 1985, with three Chine sestrains (the Nantong strain from Jiansu,the Jinayang strain from Shanxi and the Anyang strain from Henan) as the checks, two American stains (T-9 and SS-4) as the secondary checks, and with seven cotton cultivars, belonging under Gossypium hirsutum, G.barbadense and G.arboreum respectively as the identifying hosts, the virulence determination of thirteen strains of Verticillium dahliae selacted from collections in the survey on cotton Verticillium wilt in Sifchuan, was carried out by infecting paper-cupped seedling in cement tank with infected soil and root-injuring treatment.The results indicated that: Among 13 strains, there was no violent strain like the T-9 or the Nanton strain being called as feaf-falling type.The virulences of three strains (the Jintang, the Renshou and the Lezhi) were found similar to that of the Jingyang strain.Four strains (the Pingchang, the Santai,the Xichong and the Yilong)were of weak virulence, being similar to the strain SS-4.The other six strains (the Nanbu,the Shehong, the Pengxi, the Jianyang, the Bazhong and the Hechuan) were similar to the Anyang strain, being moderate virulent.

以江苏南通、陕西泾阳、河南安阳菌系作对照,以美国T—9和SS—4菌系作参考对照,用海岛棉、陆地棉和亚洲棉三个棉种的7个品种作鉴别寄主,通过土壤接菌结合伤根处理,对四川省棉花黄萎病普查分离出的13个代表菌系进行了毒力测定.结果表明:在13个代表菌系中没有毒力特强近似江苏南通和美国T—9落叶型的强菌系;毒力近似陕西泾阳菌系的有三个(金堂、仁寿、乐至),近似SS—4型的弱菌系四个(平昌、三台、西充、仪陇)介于前二者之间,近似于河南安阳菌系的中间型六个(南部、射洪、蓬溪、简阳、巴中、西南农大合川农场).初步筛选出14个耐我省棉黄萎病菌系的品种(系).

Verticillium wilt of upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.), caused by Verticillium dahliae Kleb, is spreading rapidly throughout the cotton growing areas in china. It has been reported that the host plants of the fungus are widely ranging. In this study plants of 140 species of 33 families were tested. Among them, 130 species grew in natural or artificial disease-fields, and 49 were inoculated with conidia suspension of V. dahliae (with some species overlapped). Results indicated that 80 species of 21 families were infected with the iungus. When 63 isolates of V. dahliae recovered from the above infected plants were inoculated to cotton, they all proved infectious. Thus, a lot of food crops, industrial crops, vegetable crops, green manure crops, flowers and weeds may be infected with V. dahliae. However, Gramineae plants are resistant to it. The results provide a scientific basis for the integrated control of cotton Verticillium wilt.

1982—1985年,通过棉黄萎病田自然感染或用棉黄萎病菌人工接种鉴定了33科140种植物,有21科80种植物感染黄萎病菌,其中自65种植物分离的菌株接种棉花均能使之发病。棉花黄萎病原菌寄(宿)主范围广泛,为病菌的积累和传播提供了条件。
