Only down to the belly it increases quickly, and the metallization rate is increased too. The distribution of sinter size is changed. The portion of +25mm decreased quickly and -5mm increased. But the percentage of 5-15mm and 15-25mm almost keep constant. The degradation of sinter occurs in the upper part of the furnace, but not serious. Only down to the middle part of the shaft the strength becomes better. Sulphur Content keeps Constant in the Shaft. But after the sinter passes through the softening layer they increase sharply. Alkalis content reaches the hishest percentage in the bosh and belly. By petrographic analysis and electron probe micro analysis, phase change of mineral and the slag are also studied.
