With the related technique of time-resolved emission spectroscopy, an emission spectrum can be recorded in a few nanoseconds after excitation and observed the changes in the spectra with time. These measurements have been carried out from microsecond to picosecond time scale by the use of the single photon counting technique,Based on the model SP-70 nanosecond fluorescence spectrometer, if theemission monochromator where the wavelength drive of the emission mono-chromator is controlled by a stepping motor and a control unit is provided, time-resolved spectra may be measured. A control photomultiplier monitors tike excitation lamp output and changes the wavelength by a fixed increment when a preset signal integration level has been reached. In this arrangement only pulses detected from the stop photomultiplier in a small portion of the decay time are allowed to be stored in the multichannel analyser (MCA). Each channel in the MCA contains fluorescence signals with equal light intensities exciting the sample. In this way, a fluorescence emission spectrum is obtained for a fixed "Time window" after excitation. The MCA is operated in a multichannel scaling mode (see Fig. 1).When the system is data processing of nanosecond fluorescence lifetime deeon volution, the output of MCA is fed to PDP-11/03(DEC) computer and software Written in FORTRAN is used to analyse the data obtained from the fluorescence sample and from the lamp respectively. But the measurement of time-resolved fluorescence emission spectrum reflected the changes of luminescence characteristics with time, such treatment is undoubtely interesting for us also. So we have written in FORTRAN a time resolved spectra plotting programming which is available for rules of input programming format and is used to analyse the data obtained from the emission spectrum.Because PDP-11/03 computer has only 64kW memory,we have used low memory coverage [technique for processing relationship between the main-programming and it's sub-programming (see Fig. 2, Fig. 3).The data processing function of plotting programming.1. The emission band of the Ce3+ ion quickly decreases to zero first, and appears again after 48μs. These results showed the existence of energy transfer from Ce3+ ion to Tb3+ ion (see Fig.4, 5).Several practical electronic problems with regard to data processing are discussed to describe the measurement system. For example, when measuring time-resolved emission spectra,it is essential to control or recognise the amount of scattered light in order to avoid spectral changes occurring with time.Time resolved spectra at short time may be noisy because of insufficient counts/ channel. Too high voltage on the control photomultiplier tube can cause an overload effect and lead to a distortion in spectra. As with steady-state fluorescence spectra, the wavelength increment must be compatible with the monochromator bandpass.

本文基于毫微秒荧光测量技术测量时间分辨荧光光谱的原理与装置,编制了数据输出的应用软件,列举了用于测量过程的实例,最后讨论了在测量中出现的若干实际问题。
