新的《高中数学课程标准》与过去相比有较大变化.制订《标准》的基本理念是:高中数学课程应当具有基础性、多样性与选择性;应有利于学生形成积极主动的学习方式;应正确处理打好基础与力求创新的关系;提高学生的数学思维能力;返璞归真并注意适度的形式化;发展学生的数学应用意识;体现数学的人文价值;注重信息技术与数学课程内容的整合;建立合理科学的评价机制.在课程内容的设置上分为数学必修课和选修课.《标准》对各部分内容的要求是:课程应当着重于数学的真正理解;课程内容增加了“数学建模”、“探究性课题”、“数学文化”3个板块;课程要反映信息时代对数学教育的推动;算法应进入中学;将矩阵正式列入中学课程;以向量法为主处理立体几何教学;集合只作为语言使用;数列可以看作是函数的特例;应重新认识不等式;函数是高中数学的核心内容;微积分教学的关键是定位准确;数据处理应强调统计思想的内核,避免把数据处理变成“算术”计算;中学的概率统计教学应使学生真正感受到确定性和随机性数学思维方法的本质区别;高中阶段学习方程会遇到简单的无理方程、三角方程、指数方程,但不展开.
