The foundation of coastal and offshore structures is often subject to continuous wave-induced loading with small amplitude and long duration. Under such conditions, the soil of seafloor nearly behaves elastically. Based on the generalized formulation of two-dimensional Biot's theory, a finite element numerical method in time domain is developed to evaluate the dynamic response of saturated elastic seabed subject to linear or non-linear wave loadings. The governing equations which are composed of static equilibrium conditions and Biot's equation can be regarded as a special case. It is shown that the accelerations of soil matrix and pore fluid affect the seabed dynamic response slightly. When a sequence of linear waves propagates over gentle slopes, the amplitudes of pore pressure and effective stresses become larger and larger in the seabed, which will possibly initiate potential sliding failure. The numerical method proposed can deal with complex conditions such as non-linear wave loading, complicated geological conditions and wave propagation over gentle slopes.

With the application of modern theories and methods of fatigue strength, systematic fatigue analysis on the structure of a flare-tower of a FPSO is carried out. Furthermore,long-term prediction of wave-induced loads and motion, hot spot stress of tubular joints and calculation of fatigue life are also discussed in this paper.

运用现代疲劳强度理论与方法,对国内一艘在建浮式生产储油轮的火炬塔结构进行疲劳强度校核,并对疲劳分析中所应用的波浪诱导运动长期预报、管节点热点应力和疲劳寿命计算做了介绍。
