Based on modified classical laminated theory, the mechanical properties of three dimensionally braided composite materials were analyzed in this paper. Carrying out the integration and averaging of compliances yields, the effective elastic modulus of braided structural composites was predicted. Tsai Wu polynomial criterion was adopted and the strengths of 3 D braided composites were obtained. In addition, the mechanical experiments of braided structural composite materials were carried out. The effects of textile process parameters, such as braider angle, transverse angle, ratio of axial yarns number to braider yarns number and fiber volume fraction on mechanical properties were investigated. A comparison between theoretical and experimental results shows that the mechanical model can reasonably predict the stiffness and strength of 3 D braided composite materials.

以修正的经典层合板理论为基础,分析三维编织复合材料的力学性能。在单胞的长度方向积分和平均,预测编织结构复合材料的有效弹性模量;采用蔡-胡多项式失效准则,得到三维编织复合材料的强度性能。另外,进行编织结构复合材料的力学性能实验,探讨纺织工艺参数,如纤维编织角、横向编织角、轴向纱数与编织纱数之比、纤维体积含量等对力学性能的影响,理论预报和试验结果进行对比,发现该力学模型能较好地预报三维编织复合材料的刚度和强度性能。

This paper presents a review on the studies of the effective elastic moduli of three dimensional braided composite materials. The relationship among macromechanical properties of multi directional composites, composing properties and mesobraided structures is investigated based on a material design point view, with macroscopic and mesoscopic aspects combined and material science and mechanics integrated. The nonlinear behavior of braided composites is also studied.

综述并评价了关于二维和三维编织复合材料的有效弹性模量研究的代表性工作,并从材料设计的思想出发,宏观与微观相结合,材料科学与力学相结合,对多向编织复合材料的宏观力学性能与细观织物结构、组分性能的关系及编织复合材料非线性行为进行了详细的理论分析和研究

A perturbational method based homogenization method is formulated to simulate the constitutive properities of three-dimenisonal braided composite materials by means of finite element models.The numerical tests of three dimensional braided composite structures are presented to show that more accurate results of effective modulus are obtained and little computer time cost comparing to other numerical methods.

本文将基于小参数渐近展开和摄动方法的均匀化理论与有限元方法结合起来应用于三维编织复合材料弹性本构的数值模拟。通过对三维编织结构等效模量的数值计算 ,结果表明本文的方法可得到较为准确的等效模量 ,并较其它解法大大降低了计算量。
