By comparison , the optimal shaping condition was PEG - 4000 (10% ) ,γ- Al2O3 ( 20% ) , HNO3 ( 10% ) and after hy-drothermal treatment the total conversion of tert - olefins was up to 54. 33% at 70℃, which was comparable with resin catalyst, and the shaped catalyst had good regeneration.

Under the best reaction condition(temperaure:70 ℃, pressure:0.8 MPa, LHSV:1.0 h~(-1), MeHO and tert-olefins ratio:1.0), the highest conversion of tert-olefin could reach 56.27%.
The best shaping condition was that expanding agent was PEG-4000 (10%). Tert-olefins conversion of 62.93% was attained under the optimum reaction condition: 70 ℃, 1 h~(-1), 0.8 MPa and MeOH/tert-olefins molar ratio 1.05.
The result shows that the activity of Ag-loaded catalyst slightly increases with the content of Ag increasing. When the mass fraction of Ag reachs 2%, the conversion of tert-olefins reachs the highest value, at which the activity of catalyst decreases when the content Ag continues to increase.
