Assuming both reinforcement and concrete as rigid plastic materials and using the failure criterion of concrete in biaxial compression, the plastic solution for shear strength of the failure section and the formulas for predicting the shear strength of R.C.deep beams with web openings in regards to different failure mechanisms have been obtained. Finally, the method for limit analysis of shear strength of such deep beams is suggested,and the calculated results show a good agreement with the test results a-vailable at home and abroad. |
