For the construction of an all-solid state fluoride electrode it is necessaryi to find a suitable inner solid state junction between the ion-conducting LaF3membrane and the electron-conducting metalic lead.In order to achleve a good electrode quality, it is essential to get a non-blocking, ohmic contact. Various fluorides and/or metals have been deposited on the LaF3 crystal membrane using' vacuum evaporation method: Bi (A);Bl (B);BiF3 -Bi-Ag(B1); Pb(C) ;PbF2-Pb(D);Ag(E);AgF-Ag(F);Au(G);Al(H). The electrochemical properties of the inner junctions have been tested by mea-suring current-voltage characteristics.That the contact obtained is an ohmic one is indicated by linear current-voltage relationship which is independent of the polarity. It has been shown that in systems of direct junction between a metal and LaF3 crystalmembrane the contact resistance shows nonohmic behavior (Fig. 2, A, C, E, G, H). These blocking contacts also possess rectiflying properties.The contact can be made ohmic when a layer of ion-conducting fluoride(BiF3, F2 or AgF) is sandwiched in between the LaF3 crystal membrane and the corresponding metal deposit layer (Bi, Pb or Ag; Fig.2,B,D, F) .The migration of fluoride ions in the LaF3 membrane has been experimentally observed by electrolytic formation of fluorides of bismuth and lead on the LaF3; crystal, membrape surface. The system B1 (BiF3-Bi-Ag) is recommended as especially suitable for the construction of all-solid state fluoride electrodes.The potential resiponse characteristics of the constructed electrodes have been evaluated.

The relationship of the conductivity with frequency for an amorphous fast lithium ion conducting material B2O3-0.7Li20-0.7LiCl was studied. As a result of the features of such amorphous material, the measurement of the conductivity may be carried out by use of the a.c. bridge or the a.c. V-A method and thus be simplified. Considering the effect of the long range disorder in the non-crystalline solid on the ionic transport, we praposed a mechanism of the local polarization and explained the features of the spectra of conductivity and its dependence on temperature.

本文对非晶态快离子导体的B_2O_3-0.7Li_2O-0.7LiCl的电导率与外电场频率的关系进行了研究。结果表明:在较宽的频率范围内,样品的体电导约等于总电导;电导率频谱在中频段有一平台,在高频段上升,而且温度越高,开始上升的频率也越高。这一结果使电导率的测定有可能简化,即可以采用交流电桥法或在某一合适频率下采用交流伏安法直接测量样品的总电导或总导纳的模值作为体电导的值,从而求得电导率。本文考虑到非晶态结构的长程无序对离子迁移的影响,从局域极化的角度讨论了电导率频谱的特点及其同温度的关系。

Experiments have been carried out to compare the burn-weight-loss and the defor-mation at the tips of 14 tungsten cathodes with different packed and cooling conditions.The test results revealed that:〈1〉Welding characteristics of the ceriated-tungstenelectrode is almost the same as the thoriated electrode.〈2〉Bare electrode withinsufficient cooling has the most burn-weight-loss due to tungsten oxidizing on theelectrode cylindric surface and the consequent sublimation of the wolfram oxide.〈3〉Electrode damage by“flowering”at...

Experiments have been carried out to compare the burn-weight-loss and the defor-mation at the tips of 14 tungsten cathodes with different packed and cooling conditions.The test results revealed that:〈1〉Welding characteristics of the ceriated-tungstenelectrode is almost the same as the thoriated electrode.〈2〉Bare electrode withinsufficient cooling has the most burn-weight-loss due to tungsten oxidizing on theelectrode cylindric surface and the consequent sublimation of the wolfram oxide.〈3〉Electrode damage by“flowering”at the cathode tip (“umbrella-like-halo”forming) and by “tumour-condense-forming”are also related to the sublimation prcess.〈4〉Electrod packed with copper,for example,or intensive cooling can improvethe cathode tip steadiness without any harmful effect on the arc stability.〈5〉There is an important phenomenon that the melting of blunt tungsten cathode and thechange of its chemical compositions are far more severe than those of the sharped oneunder the same conditions.It is considered to be a result of the cathode-spot-floatingand increasing the ion-conducting-fraction in the cathode zone.Therefore,it issuggested that the selected cathode should have a satisfactory geometry at the tip.〈6〉Packed electrode is possible to take thin tungsten wire in place of the thicknonpacked one,which will increase the cathode stability and decrease the electrodegrinding frequency.On the other hand,it will greatly minimize the contaminationof surrounding environment by thorium radiation,if the thoriated electrode is selected.

本文对不同冷却情况及包敷的13只钨阴极进行了烧损量对比和形状变化的对比。试验表明:1.铈钨极和钍钨极的性能基本相同;2.冷却不够的裸钨极烧损量最大,这是由于圆柱表面的氧化及氧化钨升华所致;3.钨极尖的“开花”、“结瘤”损坏也与升华过程有关;4.包敷及强冷均可提高电极尖端的稳定性,而未发现对电弧稳定性产生不利影响;5.在其他条件相同的情况下,秃钨极的成分变化及熔化程度都严重得多,这是由于阴极斑点飘荡、阳离子在阴极区导电中所占比例增大之故,因此建议阴极尖应有恰当的形状和钝头;6.如果对电极实行包敷,有可能以细钨丝代替粗钨丝作阴极,能提高稳定性,减少修磨次数。如果是用钍钨极的话,可以大大地减少放射性钍对环境的污染。
