In recent years, small charged aggregates-- ion clusters comprised of several atoms are found to have many Interesting features such as odd-even property and "magic number" structure, and constitute a new physical state between gas and solid states, and have arrested broad attention in the experimental and theoretical physics. In this paper we will comprehensively discuss the production, the formation and the structural characters of the ion clusters as well as their potential applications in the development of cluster physics. Special emphasis will be given to the study of the relation between the properties and the structures of the ion clusters in an attempt to match the investigation about the size effect of the small particles from solid state physics,and it will provide a basis for the exploitation and applications of new materials.

近年来,实验上发现由多个原子组合而成的孤立带电集团·离子簇,具有奇偶性和“幻数”结构等一系列奇异性质,构成介于气态和固态之间的一个新物态,引起理论和实验物理学界前的广泛重视。本文系统地讨论了离子簇的产生、形成和结构特点以及离子簇物理发展的应用前景。重点说明离子簇特性和结构的内在联系,并同超细微的尺寸效应的研究相结合,为开拓新材料的研制和应用提供依据。

Sputtered ion clusters of alkali halides possess magic numbers of N= 13,22,etc, which can be well explained by classical electrostatic interactions and quantum 'short-range' interactions. When lithium fluoride crystals of high purity were bombarded by 8keV argon ions, two groups of cluster ions were observed. Both were positively charged, but one of them, [Li(LiF)N]+, with microcrystal structure, and the other, (LiF)N+, complex ions. And, as the natural lithium has two isotopes, both groups contain great amount...

Both were positively charged, but one of them, [Li(LiF)N]+, with microcrystal structure, and the other, (LiF)N+, complex ions. And, as the natural lithium has two isotopes, both groups contain great amount of hetero-isotopic clusters. The isotopic effect suggests another important property, ia addition to the magic numbers, of mass spectra of the sputtered ion cluster.

An interesting phenomenon of molecular-ion clusters of alkyl glucosides (AGS), bulyl glucosides, M2, and dodecyl glucoside, M3, in field desorption mass spectrometry has been investigated. The 14 complex clusters were found in total 42 peaks of AGS. The basic peak m/z 719 is [2M_2+Na]~+. Some clusters are composed with 3 or 4 ions, such as m/z 955 is [M_1+2M_2+Na]~+. The mechanism of clusters was discussed.

本文在用FDMs方法分析烷基葡萄糖苷时,发现多个组成复杂的分子-离子簇出现。在采集到42个质谱峰中,有14个簇离子,其中可看到3个或更多个组分的复杂分子-离子簇,并讨论了FDMS分析中簇离子生成机理。
